Judging by the fact that the government spent all of its money on car companies and all that jazz when they were going under, I think its time we gave the whining a try...right? WRONG! We, as a country, have allowed foreign dependencies to contribute to our debt. They grew on us like a tumor. They spread through us like malignant malanoma, and now they are in our hearts.
Sorry that last analogy got dragged on so much, but seriously, we really did let this happen. all the signs of what was yet to come were staring us right in the face and we just let it happen. the fact that Gates is blaming congress sickens me. Yes security is a very important thing; don't get me wrong, but seeing as how virtually every American played a role in this, we all have no one to blame but ourselves
